I was rather excited to get this shot. Wise, slightly aloof duck finds the best spot in the park. Fully sheltered from the sun and looking down on his feathered friends who now have to swim toward the other bank, and cope with the heat and the light of the desert sun.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to me at the time, I was developing my own minor sunburn.
