There was a time when I felt like telling a succinct story on the small screen in about a dozen episodes, with no further attempt to expand the universe or keep the beats perpetually coming, was a lost art.
2022 turned me around.
I actually have more shows that I could squeeze into a top-five for this category, which is just such a wonderful thing.
In the end, in keeping with the fives, I’m giving a special hats off to the following. Bravo for telling a compelling story — beginning middle end — and at least so far, leaving it at that:
1. The Bear
2. Normal People
3. Kenobi
4. The Dropout
5. The Patient
Now if you’ll excuse me, I must get back to finding new entertainment to indulge in.
